USSA 2019:

The 2019 USSA Judo Championships were held at Fairview Sports Center in Port Elizabeth from 19th to 21st September 2019. The Fairview area is a landmark site of transformation; a fitting theme for highest number of Universities and Judoka where present, and the most Female participation ever in the history of the USSA Judo Championship.

  • Madibaz Judoka Ms. Ruvarashe Matchaba won the Female Prestige Award.
  • More Medals where taken by Madibaz Judo Female Judoka.
  • The Madibaz Judo team won 7 medals overall:

    • 3 Gold medals 

    • 2 Silver medals 

    • 2 Bronze medals

USSA 2018:

The 2018 USSA Judo Championships were held at Cape Town University Sports Center from 21st to 23rd September 2018.

  • The Madibaz Judo team won the Team Spirit Award.
  • The Madibaz Judo team won 7 medals overall:

    • 2 Gold medals 

    • 2 Silver medals 

    • 3 Bronze medals

USSA 2017:

The 2017 USSA Judo Championships were held at Pretoria University Sports Campus from 15th to 17th September 2017.

  • The Madibaz Judo team Place 2nd.
  • Madibas Judo won the Team Spirit Award.
  • Prominent Judokas Lwazi Mapitiza and Matthew Chase were involved in the 2017 Madibaz Judo team.
    • Both attaining Gold medals
  • The Madibaz Judo team won 11 medals overall:

    • 4 Gold medals 

    • 2 Silver medals 

    • 5 Bronze medals

 

USSA 2014:

The 2014 USSA Judo Championships were held at Nelson Mandela University Missionvale Campus from 3rd to 6th April 2014.

  • The Madibaz Judo team are the 2014 USSA Champions.
  • Matthew Chase was included in the South African student team.
    • He won two gold medals at the USSA championships.
  • The Madibaz won 16 medals overall:

    • 2 Gold medals 

    • 4 silver medals 

    • 10 bronze medals

  • ‚ÄčMatthew Chase was named the most promising male athlete.
